Moving into your New Home

If you do not move into your new home at the start of your tenancy, you may lose it. Normally you will not get Housing Benefit or the Housing Element of Universal Credit until you are living in the house, but the rent is due from the day your tenancy starts.

Decorating is your responsibility but we will give you a Dulux Decoration Pack when you sign your Tenancy Agreement. (These are not given to tenants who exchange tenancies or tenants moving into new build properties.)

If you are unable to carry out your own decoration work and have no friends or family who can help, we may be able to advise you where to go for help.
