The energy price cap is a limit set by Ofgem on the maximum price that energy suppliers can charge customers for gas and electricity. The cap is designed to protect consumers from excessive energy price increases.

The energy price cap changed on 1 January 2025 which may lead to increased gas and electricity bills.  Between 1 January and 31 March 2025, gas prices will be capped at 6.34p per kilowatt hour (kWh), and electricity at 24.86p per kWh.

If you are concerned with rising energy costs, and want to make sure you’re on the right tariff for your household, our Money & Home Energy Adviser, Andrew can help you with this and other energy saving measures.
